In Memoriam
During the early morning hours of March 27th, 2020, Anthony Cardillo was tragically killed in a car accident while on duty as a Town of Oyster Bay Public Safety Officer. Anthony was a 21 year old resident of Massapequa, and had dedicated his young life to serving the public.
Anthony had been a Nassau County Police Explorer for four years until aging out of the program on January 31, 2020. He was a very active member of his Post and had risen to the rank of Explorer Lieutenant. In addition to being an Explorer, Anthony was an Eagle Scout and a dedicated and active member of Engine Company One of the Massapequa Fire Department. He loved helping his community and had future aspirations of a career in law enforcement. Anthony was admired by all who had the pleasure of knowing him for his kindness and most of all, his work ethic.
